App Advice : Apple, following the news of the dreadful events in Paris, has updated its French home page adding a black ribbon to pay its respects to the country and to those affected.
You can check on the page at apple.com/fr, and the black ribbon can be found at the bottom of the screen. As 9to5mac notes, Google has done the same to its home page (pictured below). The black ribbon is indeed a sign of mourning; currently, 129 people have lost their lives following the attack, and 352 have been injured (99 critically so), according to the BBC.
