Apple Removes Apps That Steal Your Personal Information

AppsZoom : Apple has removed 256 apps that were using a third-party advertising tool for stealing personal information. This week Apple has been the center of attention again, and not for something good. The popular Cupertino company has had to take extreme measures against several applications that were endangering people's privacy. SourceDNA found out that some applications available in the Apple Store were using a third-party advertising tool called Youmi, which could gather information about your device (serial number, installed apps) and your personal data (e-mail). Apple decided to take them all out (approximately 250 included the maleficent SDK), releasing the following statement: "The apps using Youmi's SDK will be removed from the App Store and any new apps submitted to the App Store using this SDK will be rejected. We are working closely with developers to help them get updated versions of their apps that are safe for customers and in compliance with our guidelines back in the App Store quickly." Over time Youmi had grown more and more bold with it's malware.
