TechTree : Out of all those 400 stations that Google promised to brings Wi-Fi to as early as October, it will be Mumbai’s Mumbai Central Station that will be the first to get it.
According to the Economic Times, a top-level executive from RailTel Corporation stated that the Google will begin work at Mumbai Central station early October and will be geared up to deliver free Wi-Fi to the public by mid-October.
The high-speed Wi-Fi facility will be freely available to passengers and the public in the area for first 30 minutes only. The 30 minutes of free usage is limited to 24-hours. But this coming from Google, means it will deliver. It is said that Wi-Fi speeds will be fast enough to download an entire movie in 4 minutes, so it will be well worth your time.
