DodgeGlobe : In an effort to make a community space for creativity, the Dodge City Public Library added a new service for its patrons.
"One of the things we've been talking about for two or three years are 3D printers," director Cathy Reeves said. "We now have one, made possible by a donation from one of our patrons. The library foundation has helped purchase supplies."
With a variety of colors of plastic filament, the 3D printer uses CAD designs to build objects layer by layer. With an open top, people can watch the objects being made.
