Slashgear : China's Great Firewall has seemingly burnt another service, with Apple apparently opting to disable Apple News in the country rather than figure out a complex censorship system. The news-reading app was launched as part of iOS 9, pulling in articles from multiple sources into one, easy-to-consume place.
However, it's that surfeit of sources that have apparently fallen foul of Chinese censorship demands. According to the New York Times, Apple - faced with demands from the government to filter articles - has taken the more straightforward route and simply disabled Apple News there altogether.
