AndroidHeadlines : Over the years, the growing popularity of the modern touchscreen smartphones has all but killed off old-school flip phones for the most part. However, some companies like LG and Samsung seem to believe the retro-chic appeal of such devices can still entice enough buyers to at least create a commercially viable niche, even if they don’t become mainstream again in the foreseeable future. While Samsung has been trying on and off to re-popularize the clamshell form factor by introducing devices like the Galaxy Folder and more recently, the rumored SM-G9198, its homegrown rival LG Electronics is not exactly far behind either.
